Who we are
Bird Dog Sauna is operated by Jax Bowes, a sole trader trading as Bird Dog Sauna.

What we collect + why
We collect contact details, booking and transaction information, enquiries and booking acknowledgements to manage your visits and run the business.
We use booking information to fulfil our contract with you, retain required records to meet legal obligations, and rely on legitimate interests for customer support, administration and handling claims.
If you sign up to the Bird Dog Diaries, we use your name and email to send stories, news and occasional offers with your consent.
Health + access infomation
Please share only information relevant to your visit. Where we rely on explicit consent to record health information for safety or access arrangements, we request it separately. You can withdraw consent by emailing us. Relevant records may also be retained where necessary for legal claims.
Who we share it with
We use Wix for our website and Session for bookings, alongside Stripe.
We may share relevant information with insurers, professional advisers or authorities where necessary and lawful. We do not sell your information.
How long we keep it

Enquiries: up to 12 months after the enquiry is resolved.

Booking and financial records: financial records are kept for at least five years after the relevant Self Assessment filing deadline. Other booking details are deleted when no longer needed.

Health declarations and waivers: six years after your visit, subject to confirmation from our insurer. Records connected to an incident or claim may be kept longer where necessary.

Bird Dog Diaries details: until you unsubscribe, with an annual review of our mailing list.
We may retain a minimal unsubscribe record to ensure we respect your choice. We protect your information and delete it securely when no longer needed.
Cookies
Our website uses strictly necessary cookies provided by Wix to help it function securely and correctly.
Where consent is required, we ask before using those technologies and provide a way to change your choice.
Your choices
Unsubscribe from the Diaries through any marketing email or contact us.
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction, deletion, restriction or a portable copy of your information, and object to certain uses. You can withdraw consent where we rely on it.
Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or claims. Contact hello@birddogsauna.com to make a request.
